View Full Version : F/S Lector CDP-7T Mk III CD Player
Hi Guys
This is a very reluctant sale indeed but necessary to fund a new vinyl adventure...
The CDP is in excellent condition and comes with remote, CD puck, manual and original box. The sound is by some distance the best I have heard from a CD player. The two 12at7 valves help to make this truly sublime. As close to analogue as digital gets...
There are numerous reviews online, including:

I've trawled the net for prices and most second hand Lectors command a £1900 + tag...this is yours for an extremely competitive £1725 + delivery
Apologies for the reflections on some of the photos...

Cheers Rob- great review it was too!
Hi Grant
Yes, the holes are for the valves...the plate unbolts for access
Have bought many times from Drew. A top chap and wholly reliable and helpful. A lovely player too.

Cheers Richard, much appreciated! Hope you're well...
Works great with both valve and solid state amps...
Sensible offers considered...
'Harry Pearson of The Absolute Sound noted recently, the CDP-7T plays music nearly on par with the over-60-grand top-of-the-line Burmester CD drive and DAC...'
a lot of interest awaiting the final bite :-)

I have to say that I'm surprised this is still here; it must e because not too many people know just how special this is sonically. So think all my bake-off friends and local dealer. I sold mine to an overjoyed Londoner two or three years ago because I'd bought the 4 box version. The tiny uplift from the two-box advertised here doesn't justify the huge disparity in price. Oh, yes; they're reliable too.
Organic, punchy, detailed and holographic; still a 50/50 listening option for me against my pretty upmarket vinyl rig. with 3 and 4 K cart's. G.L.W.S.
Thanks Mike, i concur with your comments, unfortunately funds are needed for my TT project!
On my wish list.

Now sitting in my rack and singing oohhhh so sweetly, damn it's bloody good.
Thankyou Drew, for a great piece of kit and buying exerience.

It's not only good, John, but reliable too. I was so taken with mine that I upgraded to the 4 box version, and the improvement is only marginal over the CDP7. Unfortunately I had to let the nice black remote go and inherited an 'orrible (by comparison) silver one with the 4 box.
It's less like a CD player; much more vinyl/analogue sounding. Interconnects make a difference, of course. At a recent bake-off, it was between a Chord Indigo (copper) and an all siver (even the RCA plugs). The panel of 6 (without me) were split 50/50 but all agreed the definite difference in presentation.
I've not got much choice of ICs at the moment. It's currently plumbed in with a 0.5m Audioplan MusiCable (as is the rest of my system) with Audioquest Jade bi-wire SC. Other than that I have some Van Damme XKE Ultra and Canare 61S with Canare plugs in the cupboard.

Yeah that sounds like a good plan. Where do I find it?

You're very welcome John, thank you too for the pain-free process. It really is a stunning CDP with immense presence and scale. Enjoy!!!!
