FS: Top lid for the Croft Charisma or Epoch Elite (Polished stainless steel)

Hi all.

I have this for sale after upgrading to an official black aluminium top lid for my Croft Epoch Elite.

Its polished stainless Steel and looks lovely.

It has some very minor scratches, nothing bad.

Very rare to find on their own nowadays.

Asking £60 plus post.

Yes, and the "upgrading to an official black aluminium top lid", which replaced this lid, and as far as I know none of us have seen so far :)

The aluminum lid is worth the change in it's sonic values over aesthetics. I was really surprised how much difference it made.

The stainless lid does look absolutely lovely though and whoever is lucky enough to grab this won't be disappointed.

If it doesn't go then I'll just keep it. :)

That's interesting, Jo. Could you start a separate thread about that (with pics), outlining the sonic improvements you perceived? The Artists Palette would be the place :)

Good luck with the sale of the stainless steel lid. Most of the time, mine is off, to facilitate doing tube rolling, so it's not really an issue!:D

Precisely, as the stainless steel lid is already non-magnetic (non-ferrous), so can't be causing any interference in that way.

A simple set of isolating washers to better "couple" the two surfaces of the chassis and lid or a method to interrupt the transmission of any chassis Bourne vibration to the lid would have cost peanuts and probably removed any issues of resonance. If you've replaced your lid for aesthetic reasons then more power too yeah!
