Hello from Somerset.
These days I like to listen to my old (and new) vinyl through my B&W DM70's driven by all tube Conrad Johnson/ Art Audio.
The DM70's are a bit of an ongoing project and I try to play the long game picking up my stuff over time (when the price is right).
Digital is OK, but even my old Focus One/ SME iii seems to sound better that High Res digital.
I also have a project to get a totally retro system going with Leak Sandwich, Leak tube and an old Garrard 301 that I picked up many years ago before they became fashionable and high priced.
I just wish that I had done the same with Tannoy or Lowther!
The build quality of some of the old stuff is quite amazing.
Mind you the Art Audio power (my latest toy) is not too shabby.
I hope that people here can help me get the most out of my system and that I can help others where I can.
I already see that there is an interesting discussion regarding the DM70's.
When I get a system sorted I like to just use it and play lots and lot of vinyl. Luckily I never got rid of my collection back in the eighties.
