FS: ARC SP-11 Pre/D-115 Power and Linn Sondek/Ittok/Troika

Hi guys and gals,

I'm posting this ad on behalf of Anthony TD, who between him, and a friend [Mr Paul Bailey] are handling affairs for the widow detailed below. Please note Anthony's descriptions as follows:


The owner of this equipment died recently, so I am selling on behalf of his widow. All the equipment was bought new by him in the mid 1980’s.
I would prefer that any buyer would both audition and collect from Mr Paul Bailey in postcode area NP4 in South East Wales, UK. contact me [Anthonytd] by pm or email, and I will pass on Mr bailey's contact details etc] Courier will be at the buyer’s risk and expense.


Audio Research SP11 preamplifier in excellent condition. Those who appreciate this equipment will know that these seldom come up for sale.
All valves have been checked on an AVO VCM163 and are within specification. It is in perfect working condition with hardly a mark on it, so I would class it as 9/10.
It has the original owner’s manual.
Price is £1,500

Linn Sondek LP12 (early model) with Ittok LVII arm Troika cartridge, all in excellent condition. Comes with the original box for the Troika, please be aware that there is no second Troika cartridge inside the box!
I would class this as 8/10 condition, maybe even 9/10.

Audio Research D115 power amplifier in excellent condition. Those who appreciate this equipment will know that these seldom come up for sale.
All valves have been checked on an AVO VCM163 and are within specification. It is in perfect working condition but has a few marks on it, there are some blemishes on the front panel, where it appears that something has been spilled down it and there are some small dents on top of the right-hand output transformer cover plate, so I would class it as 7/10.
It has the original owner’s manual.
Price is £1,000

guessing you would need to get the pre and power together due to the umbilical . Nice looking gear those 2 tho. power being near the floor, you wont see much of anyway.

The umbilical is for the power supply of the pre, it's a 2 boxer as per the photos. Would like to see the back of the power amp anyway.

Hi All,
First of all; Thank you Marco for putting up the details etc, much appreciated.
The preamp is a two box item, with the main power supply connected by the umbilical chord refered to.
I will get some picks of the rear of the power amp, and get them posted up ASAP.

I'm surprised at the lack of interest so far in this stuff, particularly the minty LP12, Ittok and Troika, which is a total bargain!! As indeed is the rest....

Come on folks, I'm sure that the seller in question would accept sensible offers at as close as possible to the asking price, so why not see if you get lucky? :cool:
