FS: Garrard 301 in cream, oil bearing, silver plate plus Russ Collinson plinth

Reluctant sale doesn't really begin to describe it but needs be.

1) Selling my Garrard 301 in cream, oil bearing, Schedule 2, silver plate. Owned for about three years now, formerly owned by world famous conductor who lived near Abbey Road. He passed away and I purchased it from his son. Had his name scribbled down somewhere, but can't find it now. Anyhow, this turntable has played music for some of the world's most famous musicians and singers. Was regularly serviced by his dealer (KJ???) but hasn't been serviced since I purchased it. Academic as it runs absolutely beautifully.

2) The plinth is a one-off, made by Russ Collinson. Comes with two top boards, one of SME, one for Linn-style arms. Cut for 9in but plinth easily large enough to take a 12in with a bit of fettling.

Prefer to sell both together, £975. Collection only from Bedford please. Pix below, lots more on the site.
