Hello everyone,
This won't be one of those long and eloquent essay type of introductions. I'm simply not anywhere near being a true audiophile – with ample time, or money for high-end gear, or a space big enough to host a proper kit, with rack size components and speakers, to begin with. All I've got is a compact desktop kit with Philips Fidelio X1 headphones, a hybrid headphone amp HA10 with a separate PSU (both made by UK wizard Sean Jacobs) and two CD players – Cyrus CD7 and a vintage JVC Victor XL-F1GD (modded with additional BNC and RCA digital outputs). Those two CD players will soon be replaced (kept as backup and occasional use), by a compact network player of some sort. The philosophy behind this decision - I want to preserve my CD collection for as long as possible (keeping them in a safe place for masters), so everything will move onto hard drives in a FLAC format.
Looking forward to exchange opinions wisdom, about Hi-Fi kit or any other kind …
Kind regards,
Bostjan (or Sebastian ... same thing)
