I have an RS1500 and I think its one of the best looking R2Rs out there it sounds superb has a unique tape transport and just works like a dream
Separating out the Record replay amplification like the RS1800 would be a dream for me

Technics seldom sent their really high end gear to the UK.
We were too busy peering up our own arses thanks to the marketing supremacy of the likes of Naim and Linn. :rolleyes:

Yeah I bought a RS1500 about a year ago advertized on here or PFM ? it had a couple of faults but worked very nicely when I fixed it

Yeah me too Al but its not just nostalgia or the visual of those reels going round, R2R is a seriously very good analogue source so justifies the effort:eyebrows:;);)
