Hello all. I started a thread in January 2017 saying “I’m back” and the thread drifted into a medical
one after the mention of prostate cancer and ended as I was going into treatment....
I elected Radiotherapy plus hormone therapy. The RT was 20 factions with a new state of the art Truebeam machine: this finished in March 2017 with about 2 weeeks of discomfort afterwards. Now, nearly 12 months on, my PSA is zero and the side effects don’t affect my life too much at all. So, Cancer beaten.
Hifi wise, not much change except the Systemdek has had a long overdue service and now sits on a slab of granite, an offcut from a friend’s kitchen installation.
Welcome back Kerry, and glad your feeling better.

Welcome back Kerry, glad to hear you have come through the other side. I'm waiting on PSA results myself at the moment so it's a little bit of an uncertain time just now. Most of us have have been affected in some way by Cancer so it's great to hear of someone beating it. All the best to you mate.

Well the OP was slightly premature! Soon after posting things began to go wrong but 2-3 months later things had all calmed down and now, 18 months on from end of treatment, PSA is zero and everything is good. Several holidays planned for 2019 including a big one to Canada.
