Cross posted on PFM too...
John at www.analogueinnovation.com kindly loaned me one of his RB series counterweights to try, which I fitted to my RB250 Friday evening. A subtle but definite improvement over the RB300 stub and weight I had on before. After some extensive listening it is much better at resolving detail now, especially in more complex pieces where it is easier to follow each individual sound. Bass is also better defined and diverse. Rest of the deck is a 77 LP12 with a Sole subchassis (also from John) and a DL110.
I am a happy bunny - but will be even happier if enough interest is generated so that John can manufacture these in sufficient numbers to allow a sensible retail price ;)
