Amplifier Comparision

Has anyone any views on which might be the better of these two amplifiers:

Technics SU-A900DM2 Power Amp + Technics SU-C800UM2 Control Unit v Technics SU-VX820 Integrated Amp?

Any ideas would be much appreciated as lack of space and need, one will have to go!

Just as Alan says, only your ears can decide which sounds best.

But if by 'better', you mean build quality/reliability/availability of spares, there's probably lots of folk on here to help you with that.

I have tried both and there is very little sound difference to my elderly ears, so looking for someone that has better hearing and technical knowledge. Perhaps I should have said that in my original text.

If you can't tell any difference I agree, sell the one you will get most cash for.

Keep the pre/power combo, there are no VU meters on the integrated.

That particular pre/power was quite sought after a few years ago, I don't know if it still is. But if the money side of it is irrelevant, then the VU meters clinch it.
