Having heard and seen this amp, I would have to say if I had the cash I would have it myself. Buy with confidence!

I have a Nelson Pass original version of the First Watt F3 and was wondering if I could use your clone one in a biamp configuration, therefore for this to work without the need for an additional volume control it would need to be of the same sensitivity as mine, can you confirm this or has the addition of the nelson pass buffer affected this, also the pass buffer which you have incorporated doesn't have a volume control as shown on the first watt web site have you replaced this with a resistor network, finally can I assume everything works ok with no unusual hum, noises etc.

thanks

Hi
As far as I know the b1 has no gain, its just an impedance matcher as the f3 has a low input impedance,I fitted this to alleviate any future matching probs with valve preamps etc.The boards I used for the f3 amp are from the pass group buy so I can only presume the sensitivity is the same as the bought version. There are no hums or noises using the amp through a pair of Impulse horn speakers.Only selling to fund another valve amp purchase if poss. You are wellcome to a demo if you are nearby.
Regards Dave.
