I noticed in my invoices from my components suppliers that the cost of the parts are still the same in U$, but the cost on £ has jumped by a worrying average of 8%. This is making me wonder whether this is going to cause an increase in audio and video equipment in the UK in the next few weeks. Companies with existing stock in the UK are OK for the time being, but purchase orders raised in the last few weeks for stock purchase from outside the UK are bound to be higher by an alarming amount.

Anyone thinking of buying a piece of kit from abroad and paying in U$ should take note of the situation.

Hi Stan

I do a lot of business with the USA and costs are increasing by the day.

Will be keeping a close eye.

Best Regards,
Mark
