Hi this is a current set up that I primarily use. This is used with a pair of Apogee and a pair of Magnaplanar (out of shot). As with most of my gear this has developed organically thru box upgrades which has largely been self funding. I have been very fortunate on many acquisitions over the years. M

That's an impressive stand-load of gear!

I do prefer a full sized pic on the thread, so ...

Feel free to identify all the components shown! ;)
What are those valve amps, for example?

And some pics of the speakers would go down well. :)

Just wait for the first person to suggest a power supply cable upgrade? (No, it's not me; I just use an anti-surge one, THEN a hard wired multi-plug.)

1990s build (chap called Norman Butler - ex RAF) Williamson (4 A4 sides of builders mod upgrades) valve monos, pre and power supply. No expense spared, fine job. All transformers are Sowter.
Main power valves are new Genalex Gold Lion KT-88 and input valves are Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB.
Pre amplifier is also valve. This has new old stock Phillips JAN valves. This in turn has it's own separate power supply.
Pre amplifier has it's own internal Phono stage.
About a 100 hours on the tubes now so really starting to sing. Martin

Very esoteric system, thanks for posting it Martin.

Hi Chris, I have an inline German made filter that I brought as a job lot from a pro recording studio. They originally sold for around £100 a piece though no longer available as the company appears to have ceased trading. I managed to bag 8 of them. Martin

Great looking system , However I would not be comfortable with the valve amps under the TT and CD , They NEED air ;)

Yep noted. I originally placed them up top but they just dont quite fit. I should have put more thought into my TT plinth design. I got carried away there with a 'bold statement'. M

Ah the Williamson design, still capable of beating modern amps. Cool system!

Just wait for the first person to suggest a power supply cable upgrade? and I'll be out of here

You need more speakers.
And bigger ones, too.
