i didn't know there were 2 types - here just the grey/red version was available. what's the diff between them both sonics- and technically-wise, i wonder?

Theres three types, one silver hammer finish with Gold/black mission plaque set in the face to match the speaker range around 1985, the grey next type finish with Mission 'Isoplat' logo on the front edge in red & the same grey finish but with 'Cyrus' in red on front edge.No difference i suppose, but i've always believed the silver finish the best as the hammertone give a rock hard coating.

i know only of this version, the latest, as it seems. however, i must say i quickly got rid of the one i owned when my then-cd-player, the pioneer pds-901 was put on 3 sicomin-based nordost pulsar points-replica supports. anyway, congrats for your 'plat :)

I think isoplat was made only for TTs, and is a good plate indeed... It's possible that it is not designed for other components like CDPs. ;)

The original 'Isoplat' was out before Missions first CD Player: 'DAD7000' ..Wouldnt make sence making it for the Mission '775S' Turntable as that table was designed around Sorbothane & which also had the same Sorbothane feet fitted to the deck. This silver Hammerite finish of the 'Isoplat' matched such early silver Hammerite components as the '775S' Turntable, '770S','737' etc speakers.

Does anyone have any old hi-fi choice books around begining of the 80's reviewing the '771' & '772' amplifiers??

Got any pics of the Mission '700' (or I think perhaps '700S') bookshelf speakers? I used to run those with my Sondex S230 amp with the system I had during the 80s, and had lots of fun with that set-up :)

Don't think it'll be the '700S'..If you bought them during the 80's wont be the original '700' with white baffleboard they came around around 1979..Here's the '700.2' which'll be yours i think these had glued on grilles if i'm not wrang.Not much to see really but at your requestamundo:
