With a toddler in the house i'm looking for a good turntable wall mount btacket. Luckily it's a solid wall so there should be no issues fixing it.

I'm considering either a hifi racks wall shelf:

Or a quadraspire:

Does anyone have any experience of either of these shelf or recommend something different?

I'd recommend you make a shelf yourself. Similar to the Hi-Fi Racks should be pretty straightforward and not cost a lot to do. Alternatively, brackets from Homebase, B&Q etc with a slab of wood or granite might look more elegant.

That's exactly what I've been using for years. I use a pair of these: http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Heavy-Duty-Bracket-White-495x330mm/p/530744

With an offcut slab of thick kitchen worktop rubber mounted on top. Works a treat and very strong!

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalkboth look more form than function. I would go with the wickes brackets and make a nice shelf. I would also drill the holes in the brackets and use 6mm rawl bolts.

No relationship with "Al" !
but nice offer - very effective support and reasonable price.

Thanks for the replies everybody, to be honest not what I was expecting, but will investigate the diy options.

I'm assuming decent strong brackets and something fairly dense for the shelf.

Al, thanks for your offer but given the size and weight it would probably quite expensive to post to Ireland.

I have the HiFi racks shelf, and it is a very solid support for my turntable.
I picked it up second hand, so it was good value for money. The only snag now is that I want the matching equipment rack.
