Yeah, PS Audio.
Postie brought a new box to Gaz towers, the Directstream Dac.

Nice bit of kit actually; acts as a dac, a preamp and Roon endpoint all in one box.
An FGPA based dac, so firmware upgrades can improve its sound.
Not had the chance to try it other than plug it in to make sure it works.
(All good, need to update the firmware though)
Have a play when im back home before New Year.

Some interesting tech. going on inside it, a bit different and PS Audio seem to be going their own way with digital.

Good question Paul...

Until I do a comparison between the dac(as a dac) into my Densen pre vs straight to the power amp I wont know the answer to that.
Suspect it’ll better the Densen, but you never know...if so, I’ll need to get the thinking cap on.

My moneys on a 2nd hand PS Audio phono stage that they no longer make.
It took a phono level signal, boosted it and fired it out an i2s port which would connect directly to an i2s input in the dac.

Unfortunatly its not made anymore....so answers on a postcard please...
