LMFAO, Jamie, There is an Ortofon Kontrapunkt b on the Treasure trove section of their website. I have one here and at around £800 i think its a cracking cartridge. Great all round sound but it doesn't do what the Decca does. Its an all encompassing sound and very balanced. Quite smooth and definitely musical.
If you want to do a Decca Gold trial on your zeta, Let me know. Its about 6g in weight and i would imagine, sound very similar.
cheers oli,yes the gold being lighter might be better suited, would you like to try the c4e or have you had a gut full of deccas at the moment?

If it sells while you have it, it can just just go directly from yourself. If that's ok?

I have an Allnic Verito in very good condition that I could be tempted to part with, excellent cartridge and worked well on my Zeta arm.

Koetsu!

I know someone who has two Zeta arms and runs a Koetsu Black in each.
Too rich right now fellas

A left field thought. See if Oliver will lend you his Eroica LX to see what you think of them. It's well suited to the Zeta and will sound very good.
It's not a budget MC. It's a very nice sounding MC at a bargain price. I have one and I'm keeping it, along with my ZYX's (and ADC's :)).
It's very vibrant and musical. Bet it would give you a big surprise!

Cheers Geoff, yes oli, please include it with the decca mate.
Do you have anything you would loan me Geoff, I can in return send you the c4e for a listen?

Whilst I agree about the Goldring cartridge (a friend of mine used one - up until the time when one channel failed), I must point out a grammatical error: superlatives cannot be qualified!

I don't I'm afraid mate. I'm familiar with Deccas having owned about ten and my ADC's would not work in the Zeta.

Audio Technica AT-33PTG or Hana. Both will work well in the Zeta.
Back in the day, we also used various Deccas in Zetas.

Yeah. Worth considering. I should think Lyra's are a decent match too.

Yes, Lyras work very well as do Koetsu, Kiseki and many others. I was keeping the price range 'sensible'..:)
