Absolutely outstanding pair of speakers which originally retailed at @ £12000

I could wax lyrical about them but of course I would do that wouldn't I. Instead here's a review of the speakers that I feel describes them pretty accurately.

There is fading to the cabinets as with most Avalon speakers because they are designed to be used with the grilles in place. When this is done, they look perfect.

I do not have original boxes so collection from Muswell Hill north London is required.

I am considering making some shipping crates so they could be delivered. These speakers are extremely heavy (32kg each) so really reluctant to do this. Please contact me to discuss this option.

Thanks Rob. I take it that it's the actual size of the cabinet that's too big for you.
As I've mentioned on another thread the Ascendants worked great in my room which is approx 14x13 with a suspended floor. I don't think that they need the amount of space around them (rear especially) that are in some reviews.

No problem. It is the size of the cabinet. I have a reasonable sized lounge but the wife likes fairly compact speakers unfortunately.

Bit of a long shot but....
Deals involving quality power amps considered. Enormous power not required but quality is. If the speakers are tempting you then get in touch.... you never know.
In addition the same applies to anyone with a Wadia 15 or 25 or similar dac.

It's been a whole 6 days since the last bump so..
I'd just like to mention that I used them in a 14x13 first floor room & in no way did they overpower the space both sonically or physically. Their reproduction of musical instruments & vocals is superb. These really are a class act.
