I see that Amazon and Google have had a bit of a spat over things and You Tube now WONT be available to watch from the 1st of January on your Firestick!!
How bloody infantile:rolleyes:

Was inevitable, Amazon refused to sell any Google products because they directly competed with their Fire TV range. But then thought it was ok to promote the sale of Fire gear that came with YouTube, can't really blame Google for their attitude.

It was the main reason I didn't buy the new Amazon Echo Show for my dad's Xmas as I read that YouTube had been pulled and he uses YouTube a lot.

Bought a Google Home instead so he can do YouTube searches vocally and also use Spotify.

If you want YouTube on a Firestick, I would have thought using Kodi with the YouTube plugin would do the job [emoji6]

I run a Firestick in my old Samsung TV . That goes into my AV Marantz, and I love You Tube , as the audio visual thing is great for when I am lazy enough to not want to use the Deck or CD Its not a Smart Tv , and the aerial reception is crap anyway!
I have Kodi but I find the whole thing a bit confusing to be honest- that searching for links etc
I may very well put a pc in my mancave so I can put the output to the tv
