Cheers, mate. We try to make it look as close as possible to the Christmas trees we grew up with as kids, so have used vintage coloured lights and baubles, etc. It suits the house too, and gives the room the cosy and traditional vibe we like :)

Hi Jim,
Part of the home-cinema and secondary music system, mate. The one on the right is part of a pair of modified (new caps, internal wiring and binding posts) Celestion Ditton 15XRs, and the single speaker, under the TV, (acting as a centre) is a Celestion UL6 :)
Full system is:
Main Components:
Sony KD-43XD8305 TV
Sony STR-DN1060 AV receiver
Sony BDP-S6700 CD/DVD/SACD/Blu-Ray player
Latest model Sky Q box.
Speaker System:
Fronts - modified Celestion 15XRs (on Atacama stands and Mana mini-soundstage supports)
Centre - Celestion UL6
Rears - Gale (used from a complete AV speaker package).
Subwoofer - 2 x Yamaha YST-FSW150.
Music source and storage:
Modified Raspberry RPi with Paul Hynes linear PSU
2 x Seagate 5TB NAS Personal Clouds, powered by bespoke-built, fully regulated linear PSU. See thread here for details: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?50815-NAS-Super-Low-Noise-Linear-Power-Supply
The big system is upstairs in another room. Sounds great, especially with movies!

Lol @ Kevin's one! :eyebrows:
Nice one, Alan. Is that from your own garden?

Yes it is Marco, it's 4 years old and always kept in the pot.
It's about 75% taller than when bought. So nice to have a real tree that is still growing.
:)
Will it survive and go back in the garden or will that be "it" for the tree?
Andy

It only takes a spare A380 and unrestricted air space over Germany...
Here is the finished article:

I will have to have words abut the attention to detail...

It will survive and go back in the garden, then be used next year and subsequent years.
Being in the pot should limit the growth so it should be usable for the next 5-10 years depending on growth.
This year my daughter decorated the tree. She was proud and happy with her work.

Excellent. That's the right way to do it. We keep trying to do it, but it never grows properly. I suspect it's because the trees sold in garden centres at this time of year aren't the type to be cultivated.
To do it properly, they need growing from scratch.

The Celestions look rather nice Marco, I bet they sound sweet.
I'm a big-hearted kinda guy and I go all-out for Christmas. What better way to celebrate than to go with not one tree, but TWO!

I tried to replace the red bow with a nice 300b and have a few KT88s around the bottom, but she would’nt have any of it.
