Hi all,
Has anyone had any issues with an order from these guys?
I ordered some bits on 01/12/17 and still no sign of them. They've taken the money from my account so I know the order was placed correctly.
I have emailed the PayPal registered email address, the shops contact form, I've tried calling but I've had no response to anything I've sent.

Raise a PayPal claim, and you may get a response.
If not, then you should get your money back.

If you have rang them during working hours, when they should be open, then that doesn't bode well. I would ring again, and email them to say that as there has been no response you are cancelling the order. Get your money back from paypal.
Lots of businesses don't answer the 'phone even during working hours. Some do not even have a facility to leave them a message. Quite amazing really, you have to wonder how many potential orders they lose. Then when they go broke they blame the economy. Or Thatcher.
Get a refund off of Paypal and buy somewhere else is my advice.

Yep, tried calling again and no answer. I have a feeling it's going to be a case of trying to get my money back.

It appears Dogoodaudio Liverpool no longer exists! The shop is empty on eBay and they have no active listings and all feedback after 10/11/17 is negative and all points to them not communicating or sending the items. Seems they have left the website active to con us trusting types.
I've raised an issue with PayPal.

I feared they had gone tits up. Leaving everything still active is pretty scummy though.

PayPal will sort you out fairly quickly.

The ones I ordered were Snake audio which I have used before and been impressed with. Cant find them anywhere else other than china!
If the shop itself is still open, would you let me know?

One of their shops has definitely closed, we believe the other original shop (Rice lane) is still there.
However getting an answer on any of the lines currently is not happening.

Sure got a few records that need cleaning
I had a message from Martin on the 14/11 telling me that they where going to get same top stuff from the like of Achupase and Luxman. from this I presume the shop was doing pretty well, one can't really tell at this day and age, maybe family trubles...
Any way Paypal is spot on so no problems there other than not finishing a project in time

I have started a PayPal dispute so I'll go down that route first, if no joy, I'll pay a visit. It's only £20 but I don't like being ripped off.

Obviously, I hope it's nothing untoward and everyone is healthy but if they have shut up shop, they should have suspended sales online too.

Judging from Google maps (2017) the shop in Rice Lane is fully shuttered during working hours.
The registrant of the domain name has a Liverpool address (Gwenfron Rd). That house shows a For Sale sign but it may be an old pic as the guy seems to have purchased a new house recently (judging from his Facebook page which he last posted on 3 days ago).
There is a company of same name (and the same private address) which was formed in 2016 and is way overdue on filing its accounts.
Clearly something has gone wrong. I hope the owner is ok.

Shop was open today and just got a bunch of records cleaned
They have been very busy whit house sale and such.
All should be back to normal after Crimbo
Surely I hope so
Not a very good excuse. Not too busy to take people's money but too busy to ship out the goods? Would have taken 2 minutes to put a note on the website advising there would be a delay with orders. Someone died suddenly, fair enough, but moving house is not an unexpected event.

I have no relation whit Do good audio so I can not comment, as a customer, if in the same situation, I have to agree whit you
I told them about the negative post here and I live to them to reply as they can.
To me it is the only HiFi shop in town so If I can support them, as here, well, I think I just did.

It isnt a negative post as such, just a truth of experience which is negative by default. If they were to deal with my emails and PayPals efforts to a satisfactory outcome, that would be reflected too. Its entirety up to them to react and me to report.
As I said Previously, I have used them often and had no issue. Except now.

I agree, my mother lives not far from the shop they had in Aigburth Road and I was going to go in next time I was up there until I read here that they had closed it down.
I deal with a lot of businesses every day in my job and the ones that are run amateurishly do not last long. People underestimate what they are taking on when they start their own business. If your not keen on 100 hour weeks and putting the rest of your life on hold, at least until you are well established (allow 5-10 years) it is best to remain working for the man.
I've been following this thread with interest, mainly just to ensure that things didn't get out of hand, and would like to congratulate Oliver for the patient way he's handled himself, in the face of a rather frustrating situation.
I've exchanged a few emails in the past with Martin Clarke, the boss of DoGoodAudio, and have always found him to be courteous and professional. That said, however, this situation has not been handled at all well. I'd hope it's just a blip and that he'll make good this matter, ASAP, to Oliver's full satisfaction. Accordingly, I shall be following the thread with interest.

Aside from the grammatical error ;) I completely agree. It's certainly what I had to do with my own business, in order to get to where I am now.

Marco.Thanks Marco,
I dealt with a lot of internal and external customers and rarely have I ever seen an irate customer come out on top so best to try all the legitimate channels to resolve an issue. Things go wrong for whatever reason, what matters in Customer Service is how you put it right. At the moment they STILL havent responded to my efforts to contact them so im totally reliant on Paypal to refund me.
If all else fails, ill have to pop up and try and speak face to face with someone.

They might have done them now but CH hasn't updated yet. That does happen.

They had about 7 albums off me once. Good stuff too. Mountain, Bobby Womak, Sly & The Family Stone. The one consolation was it probably massively improved the quality some poxy student's record collection.

more like they didnt send them and need to appease paypal.

Its hard to believe they sent them A) they usually update via email when an item is posted (they didnt) B) they never responded to a single effort to contact them C) They ignored PayPal's efforts to contact them D) They only acted after a member here shoved my post on their face.
All I can say is thank you to those who messages me privately with the info that they had been in contact with the shop via a private connection. I am confident I only have a refund due to your effort.
The refund had not come via PayPal efforts. No emails have been sent or received from PayPal and my case is still "open" at the moment.

As a Postie myself I can honestly say that the majority of stuff that doesn't arrive is down to person that posted it, no house numbers, addresses that don't exist, God awful packaging, oh and items were never sent in the first place. In the past I've had to call company's about a package that hasn't arrived only to be told,oh it'll be at the post office, theres a back log, and when I say I work there and there isn't a back log,it goes very quiet:)

It is a real shame that the UK does not have something similar to the USA's Better Business Bureau. What we do have (like tr*******t) can easily be scammed as to make them largely worthless.
When buying from a site I don't know I do some quick simple things like how long they have been in operation (check whois and companies house), does their web certificate match their name, do they have a physical address, are they up to date at Companies House, any bad reviews (I largely discount good reviews), stuff like that. Anything of significant value I will call them and discuss if in stock, actual delivery time etc.
Always best to be wise before the event.
Shame that dogood audio have ruined their reputation, they seemed to be 'doing good' originally. Anyone now searching on their name will likely see this thread and go elsewhere for their purchase.

I get a little uneasy with threads like this but I can tell that Marco will monitor the situation and handle it well.
I followed it and I looked at an active well laid out site. I dont understand why no phone calls were answered. I cant see anybody running a business on the basis of no communication and reports of shutters down at the shop.
Why would an active business ignore you and I think it needs to be more clear cut before everybody starts speculating and digging the hole.
Things go wrong, Paypal protection is very good and perhaps the naming and shaming here is too much.
I cant really see that a business trying to survive would openly rip people off. Ive been scammed but its usually by the dodgy individual with no reputation to lose.
Maybe the business should get an early right to reply before we all start thinking they have done a moonlight flit.

To be fair, as Marco already pointed out, it's been a very mature thread with no shit flinging of any nature.
As covered previously, I have purchased many items from Dogoodaudio and never had an issue. I did on this occasion and thankfully got a resolution I am happy with.

As Oliver said they have been made aware of the tread and the comments raised here yesterday
And had a chance to reply, maybe they need more time.
IMO this tread is of great value, as you say, because of it A business whit a reputation must think...
The dodgy individual is taken care off by the Paypal protection.
I would agree whit you to the early right to reply, this is certainly one point to be looked at from Marco.
You get uneasy whit tread like this, of course, I also do, it is pretty ugly, but at times necessary unfortunately.

Yes ok fair enough. I do understand how frustrating no reply and no early resolution can be. I agree that there is no need for poor customer service when you have all the contact details.
Its just that we all secretly like a meaty story of goods being loaded up during a moonlight flit. This type of thread can take on a life of its own.
Maybe Marco can run a consumer careline and get Esther Rantzen on board. "Im warning you that I will tell the Art Of Sound forum"....... :)
There is a point where we must be warned but Im wondering when that is. I think its because I want to know why and I want to see both sides of the story instantly. I was about to hire a PI just to satisfy my own curiosity :)
