Very nice.

Cost me £500 so that's what it will cost you to buy it from me. :)

Sovtek 5881 power tubes. Full set of Mullard input tubes. 25wpc. A lovely thing.

The better early one with the 16 ohm transformer taps.

Includes excellent moving magnet phonostage.

Recently checked over by the Emporium chappies and AOK/A1.

Wonderful sound - but won't be able to drive my next speakers (which are real b*stards - don't ask, I'm not telling! :eyebrows:).

Very nice condition, with some slight scratching on the clear perspex cover thingy.

I do have the box for this so I can courier it at cost or, collection GL17 Glos - or we might be able to meet up, or there is always the Pie Fi Show.

NOTE: the strange looking mark on the 2nd knob from right is a photo effect, it looks fine in real life!

I never realised you were that close by Jerry
i shall bare that in mine with your "turn over" of kit

that'd probably make a reasonable temp preamp too (if i had the moolar)
do you ever go into "sight 2 sound" in gloucester?

Hi Hamish

Hmm ... yeah, Worcester - about an hour or so away. :)

If you ever fancy popping over with some music you are very welcome! - just give me a day or two's notice to clear up a bit!

Sight 2 Sound? - nah, I'm more of an eBay guy these days, with some exceptions though.

I shall bare that in mind, I do the odd day in Gloucester so if I'm down I could always pop by :)

Anyone reading this who is questioning Jerry's selling price...don't. £500 is what these regularly sell for in nice nick which Jerry's is, and sometimes a wee bit more.

Fantastic amplifier imho, well worth a punt. Your speakers need to be 88 db upwards sensitivity, and 8 Ohms or close to that. Its a good healthy 25 watts Class A..lovely.

I won't be selling mine ever.

This one was going to be a "keeper" wasn't it??????

Keeper for you is any time longer than a week I suspect.... ;)

I get too attached to things I reckon..

Hmmm. Yeah. But then swmbo released the purse strings and there is no way in Hell that the lovely AI500 would raise more than a whisper into the ones I am buying!

But in fairness, 'keepers' for me are usually more like 6 months. :)
