Cor. That's a tough one. From my recollection, Klipsch tend to sound good with valves. What about a Sugden or something from Rega?

Another thought. The old Audiolab 8000a is a 'safe' sounding amp and may tame the 'take no prisoners' attitude of the Heresy. Actually, I think it may be a surprisingly effective pairing.

Marantz pm4 gerlando. I’d imagine that would be a lovely pairing

I have a pair of Klipsch Fortes and have tried numerous amps with them to get the right sound, IMO the amp I would be looking at would be a Marantx 2230 receiver (or 1160), the Temple is another good match, they also like Quad 303 and 405's with a passive preamp.

Marantz PM4 sounds good!!!

What about the Linn Majik I or Meridian 551 (both with remote) or the cheaper NAD 3020, Mission Cyrus One or Pioneer A400?

With the Heresy's I'd avoid the Cyrus One and A400. The 551 would probably be good and the 3020a might surprise you, it has a forgiving nature and has more than enough power for such sensitive speakers.

The Marantz PM4 is a good suggestion, but finding a good one is tricky there days.

Although it is only my own personal experience, I have only managed to get Klipsch loudspeakers to work with single ended valves and even then only 300B types. That sting in the treble was just too much for me. I couldn't even get a match with an Arion Elektra push pull type.

I used my Heresy 1's with a small Decware Set amp at 1.8w, sounded bloody lovely

Pioneer A400 would sound like music going through a meat grinder... :P

Given the Heresy's like valves, if it must be SS then my shout would be a Quad 303 with a passive preamp.

I also used my first pair of Heresy II's with the Decware amp and it was very good and plenty powerful enough for the super sensitive and easy to drive Klipsch

I just can't imagine how the Heresy's would sound with SS but it wouldn't be my first choice and I've owned two pairs of Heresy II's

I used to own a Pioneer A400 and I would definitely not recommend that amp with the Klipsch and from what I've read Cyrus amps would also not make a good match

I would personally stick with valves for the Heresy's or possibly a Class D/T 'type' amp like the Temple and others

Hello Mauro, does it have to be an integrated? I'm using a Quad 306 and Caiman seg dac/pre with my Klipsch KG4.5's and to my ears it sounds very good.

If it has to be solid state, I'd consider the MF A1. It's very smooth and clean at the top end. Works with top class sources and speakers too, although the phono stage isn't as good as the line stages.

I’d also reccomend the vintage marantz route.
I have the 2215b at 15 wpc.
Looks and sounds very nice.
I have a marantz 1060 on it’s way, which is the 2230 minus tuner, and am expecting good things from it.
The 2230 and 1060 are well regarded.
Both 30 wpc, although marantz amps of the tme often rated more than the quoted specs.
