Recently I went to see my friend Vic he makes the the Terminator tonearm and Salvation TT which is a joy to hear
Vic had some new bass speakers instead of using bass reflex he moved onto to 18" The difference between the two speakers was staggering Vic could change the wiring between the units quite eaisly and for me it just allowed everything to sing so much better
I think one of the things that was happening was the bass reflex was mudding up the mid; with the dipole this was no longer an issue the mids had more air and detail
What I like about Dipole bass is the sound is so much more clean you have the cleaner bass but also more imapct too; this has echoed my own experience when using Dipole bass
