This is not aimed at anyone specific, mainly as i cant actually remember the people that do it, but it strikes me that people on forums, dont read other peoples posts.
what i mean by this is not people not reading the words writen, but reading them with prejudice and reading between the lines falsly.
i am at an advantage, in as much as i am one of the least well informed on this forum when it comes to hifi.. i think this makes me a lot more open minded. i take what i dont know with a pinch of salt, if it concurs with what the majority think then i will take it slightly more seriously, then if it eventually concurs with my own experience it then becomes my opinion. if it doesnt concur with my experience it doesnt become false - it is left open. if i see it i belive it, but if i dont see it i dont disbelive it, i just leave it open to question. this gives me the advantage that i dont prejudge any thing anyone says!
this is my plea, to those of you that do have strong veiws and ideas about hifi, and know, or at least think, that they conflict with someone elses, please dont write off that persons views just because you suspect them to be the oposite of yours before you have even read what they say.

a forum is a place to learn and share knowledge, if you dont agree with someone else, dont just argue blindly, you might learn something from what someone has to say even if you dont agree with it.
robert a. heinlin came up the other day, i have read his book starship troopers.. and i didnt agree with a word of his political views, but i still learnt something from reading it. i know im not right wing, that book did ferther confirm that, but in reading it i was able to put my mind set into that of someone who is frankly nearly a facist, and i leant to understand why someone would have those views even if they are the exact oposite of mine..
some people will no doubt say that this conflicts with my view that what hifi is wrong in its bad review of marks cable, and that i have done the exact oposite of what i am asking of everyone, well to a point maybe your right maybe i should take heed of my own words...
well actually i dont agree, i think that this statement and my ones about whathifi do stand together logically... after all blue is blue red is red and transparent has no bloody colour, however you bloody look at it!!
