Crap Weather for November.

Well it's not exactly 'crap weather' really, just average for November. Cool at 10C, with a hazy overcast, could get warmer and brighter perhaps. At least it's not raining.

It lashed it down overnight but now the cloud has cleared, the sun is shining but it has turned markedly cooler than of late. 9c but may rise later.:)

BBC local weather promised a cold but bright and sunny day today. Reality is a thick blanket of black cloud, biting cold wind and cold. How can they get it so wrong ?

Managed a quick bit of outside painting but had to give up because my hands were numb with the cold.

Yeah. It is on the cool side and I've got a little job to do outside shortly.

Done it. I had to 'age' some blockwork. It's an old coal bunker I converted into a shed and the newish upper blocks looked too white, so I've painted them with water & seived soil plus a drop of milk to encourage a bit of lichen. Once dried it should all match in colour (sort of :)). Hands are blue now! :eek:

The clouds are dark and stormy looking and travelling fast in the north easterly wind. I reckon we're in for some rubbish weather!

Lovely start to the day here. The sun is much lower in the sky now as we move towards the forthcoming winter. Quite a stiff NW breeze Temperature around 9c. :)

Bright and sunny but a biting cold wind is making it unpleasant outdoors. I managed 45 minutes painting some fresh rendering but had to give up because I couldn't feel my fingers.

Just listening to some choons, whilst doing a few household chores, then it'll be off Ikea later to get a few small items we need for the kitchen, finishing off afterwards by going for pizza at a nice little Italian restaurant in Warrington, where they do superb pizza, the proper way, using a traditional wood oven:

First frost today (that I've noticed anyway). Temperature was hovering around 1.5C when I got up. It's bright, but nippy!

Gale force winds in the night and lashing it down. Rain has cleared away and it's bright and sunny with a strong breeze. Temperature 12c. So really quite okay. :)

This thread could run all year in the UK :) Just substitute the month in question twelve times.

I think there is a sense that our weather is changing due to global warming. It seems far less settled than when I was younger but what do I know. Personally I would like to be nearer the Equator.

We have the sort of climate where you need to pack extra clothing even in the summer months. Its no wonder the Brits are always talking about the weather
