FS:- Various Cables

Hi all,.

After my experiments with cables I have got these barely used examples for sale.

First up:

Brian's Hybrid interconnects.

I bought what was Brian's last remaining 2m of cable, put some spare MS Audio plugs on and used them for about 3 hours. 75cm long.

I'd like £40 Posted for them.

Next up - Klotz MC5000 with HiCon gold plugs.

I made these up today, tested them and they are brand new. The HiCon plugs are extremely good quality. They are the best fitting RCA plugs I've used. Ever. 1m long.

I'd like £30 posted for these.

Lastly - Frankensteiners Interconnects

Made from spare bits and used for my headphone amp about 2 hours maximum

Cable is Van Damme silver plated copper and Is brand new. Plugs are used but in great condition. Genuinely sound as good as the Klotz but due to the obvious mismatch of plugs I'll price these at SOLD!!!. 1m long.

You use the ZYX cart Impressions ?It's possible the best cart all round imo. Koetsu level bass and Downward dynamic range. Sweet midrange and silky treble. What sets the cart apart from the rest is the dynamic delivery. It slams, gets your foot tapping and it's more than capable giving you goosebumps. I considered selling mine recently but a change of valves put that idea to bed. Other carts like the AT33PTGII are more detailed and have a slightly bigger soundstage but overall they can't excite me like the ZYX does.

You use the ZYX cart Impressions ?

I've fairly recently acquired a Z-100 and with a good phono stage it is stunning.
As Oliver says the drive and boogie factor are superb. It has a very extended response and detail retrieval is excellent. I won't be looking for better.

If you have heard a Denon DL-103 then the Z-100 is the 103 on steroids, in every good way.

I got a few phono stages current one is the Paradise

IMO Elite is not bad but I need to get way up to get the best from the rest of the chain was thinking about one of the cheaper Lyras but I keep getting very good comments about the ZYX

I have a Yatra , very well balanced and musical , compared to my previous Kontrapunkt B it's night and day in terms of detail , soundstage and presentation. I managed to get a good price on it when the new range came in so they are out here if you look about but I've not seen anything bad written about any ZYX.

Yes seen it and there is a 4D as well and seller is near by so maybe I pop down there and may even get an Electrolux fridge shelf that he is also selling for £15 thrown in:lol: and then once at home spend countless sleepless nights thinking that maybe is shagged and does not really sound at is best

I will have to do "same" overtime and get a new one I think
but not those whit silly ball WTF is that? maybe it would sound even better if instead of plastic they use baby snake scales or chiken toots for the body :D

Finding a second hand Universe that would be a different story....

Much better than the Black Rhodium Prelude that I got talked in to buying a couple of months ago :mental:

It feels as a curtain have been taken of the front of the speakers and a pretty heavy one as that
