Reliable USB stick

With regard to USB storage sticks. What would anyone recommend for transferring music files from computer. Have been using some 8gb ones, Sony, but very slow transfer speed. Looking for reliability as well. Cheers.

I use Sandisk USB 3.0 and hey seem reliable.
You can pick up 32Gb sticks for peanuts and they are available in a small size format.

Fair enough.
If it was for transferring to a device somewhere else on your network then you could have cut out the USB stick, hence my asking.
With you sticking them into the car's audio player your options are limited.

My son's 64Gb Sansdisk Cruzer Force cost me about £20 from Tesco.

Use sansdisk too. If you do buy a usb stick buy from a reputable retailer, many fake memory devices on eBay and Amazon so you'll have to choose carefully if buying from there.

...these are very good, small form makes them immune to vibrations, and best of all no flashing light when playing...a real pain at night with other USB sticks :doh:

transfer will be fairly slow as its lots of small(ish) files. It'll be even slower if you only have USB2 on the laptop - look for a blue USB port which should be USB3 and get a USB3 stick in that case. Tesco often have Sandisk sticks at good prices. Final thing, careful going too big as some cars wont work with larger USB sizes - a few 8GB sticks gives you a bit of flexibility and wont be so annoying if they get lost :)

I have a couple of these as well as a 128gb one. I am not a big fan as these run so hot I feel I need a big fan. Samsung do equivalent units which run much cooler.
