Quite keen to check one of these out .. new price has come down a bit but anyone got one for sale before I splurge .. there is one on ebay but the BIN isn't much of a saving on a new one.

Anyone got one they aren't using?

I've not used or had a Mutec MC-3 but read good reviews.

What I have tried out is an RME ADI-2 Pro (https://www.rme-audio.de/en/products/adi_2-pro.php), again coming from the German proaudio world.

Their UK distributor kindly set up a personal demo for me and I spent a couple of hours playing around with it. In addition to having a master clock like the Mutec it has a huge range of other features. The only reason I held off getting one was that it did not have a remote. Check out the manual (https://www.rme-audio.de/download/adi2pro_e.pdf) for this unit - great example of how to do things correctly. They don't even buy off the shelf DAC chips, rather they program their own FGPA chips which allows them to constantly upgrade their user base.

If I ever get another listening room together I would be sorely tempted getting something like the Mutec or RME devices.

<I just saw a Mutec MC-3 being sold on ebay. Was it you?>

Cheers Edward - yes it was me, poking around a bit I realised I had been comparing it to the Mutec MC-3 Smart Clock, not the version with USB which is more like £850 - £515 posted is a decent saving, so I went for it.

My digital is sounding pretty good but I'm curious as to just what can be achieved - comes highly recommended by Hugo (Ammonite Audio) and he's a chap that usually talks sense and is quite sparing with his recommendations.

Looking forward to your experiences/opinions. Yes Hugo seems to know his stuff.

I too would be interested in your comments - I have recently tried a Wyred Remedy Reclocker and found it very impressive for the £102 it costs me on ebay.
