Hi all
Australian here with varied interests mainly around diy audio. Very much enjoy observing others projects and undertaking my own when time permits.
I like most music and although my playlist are all digital I pick up the odd vinyl and on the look out for a motor and tone arm to build a new player.
Study, working and love traveling to Europe.

Welcome to the forum,
Cheers / ChrisNZ might become our home to, depending where we continue our studies. We were there 12 months back and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hello Wayne. Welcome to AOS.
Tell us what equiment you currently use in your Hi-Fi system and what music you listen to.
If you have any projects on the go, you could feature them in the Drawing Board section. We like DIY!
There's plenty going on here, so feel free to join in and chat.
Enjoy the forum,

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.Thanks Geoff,
My current hifi system is very small. I'm starting from scratch since moving to a unit sized house.
Two systems:
Sanyo 4 channel quadrophonic stereo - full 4 speaker and furniture
Like this receiver

But with full furniture and turntable:

Im very fond of it but it's too big so will be moved on.
Main system (slowly being replaced)
Speakers: Krix Equinox
Amp: modified Breeze Audio d-class tpa3116
Source: Synology NAS / Raspberry pi to ES9018 DAC; Silcron turntable; Technics SL-B210 turntable
Pretty simple but the room acoustically is terrible and I'm a student again so all the nice stuff was sold.
I plan to build a new amp, horn speakers based on SB Acoustic drivers, and a custom turntable to replace the above. I just need a good arm and motor/platter to work from. I'm currently building a dclass amp with 6j1 buffer and SB acoustic micro speakers for my study desk and or NOLA Brio clones if I get them sounding right.
Music genre is pretty everything except country ;-). Favourite bands range from Pink Floyd and Marilyn Manson to Tschaikowski. I mainly listen to modern rock, indie, alternative music.
