I have a question related to the Hiraga - to do wth the mains rocker switch.

First, even when off the light is still
illuminated, diminished but illuminated. There is also a very weak signal still getting through if volume is at maximum.

Secondly an annoying spike on the left channel unless switched off very quickly - I know a capacitor across live/earth (or is it neutral?) cures this.

Thirdly - the amp isnt earthed, when I removed the lead last night (worrying about it being always on) the earth pin came out! Opening it up I realised it wasn't connected to anything.

Looking at it 2 live feeds go into the transformer...

So - why always on? How do I get rid of the spike? Should it be earthed? Should I be worried?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171021/a6a9030ab24a54bfd6927319029f15a3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171021/e05d188c8416dd9f9c68133fadcfb968.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171021/23b15b8d290b784148683ae602af19cb.jpg
