Bump for the Shure M70B and the Linn Asak with VdH re-tip.

Dip you toe into MC with the Asak, or buy as a spare for when your other MC is out of action, £100 gives an excellent sound.
From the advert when I bought it:
'a superb version of the Linn Asak mc cartridge.

Sounds very dynamic and highly resolved - substantially due to the VdH re-tip, I suspect.

This significantly trounced my previous Ortofon MC25FL.'

M70B for a starter deck at £10?

Hi Alan
I need a couple of Shure's, I'll take the M70B, have you got another shure lurking about?

As it happens I do have another M75ED with little use, and a very clean stylus.

How about £30 posted for the two?

Alan bought the VdHed Asak from me.
I was quite blown away with it - open, detailed, transparent and very dynamic. I thought it sounded superb!

Blimey - thought you just had the one M75ED. which I was sorry to miss. just goes to show the importance of asking I guess.

let me know if there's anything else in the firebottle carts box that may suit a TP13a arm / TD150.

I hate to see this great cart go unloved.

Maybe Alan's lack of massive enthusuasm for it is because he hasn't tried it with a Lentek head amp, as recommended by Marco?

Blimey :stalks: it transforms it from a fine cart into a mega-monster! :stalks:

Here's a thread about the cart from when I originally bought it ....

And here are some comments from another thread about the Lentek head amp when used with it ...

It's a great cart, someone should be loving it :exactly:
