Been on the wagon too long!
Can't wait to fall off!
Need new toys!

Got an urge to try something new, or revisit some of my old flames if offered. Different room etc...

Don't be shy :D

Hi Rick - hope all's well?

I have some Cadence Amaya that I'm looking to move on - nice and sensisitve at 91db.

You're welcome to have a borrow of em if you want, as they're currently doing nothing as I've gutted the lounge ready for plastering, and it'll be that way for a while!

I have a pair of Usher CP 6372 speakers in piano gloss finish, with the light Oak side bits, sorry I can’t recall what they actually call them, cheeks perhaps.

My old speakers. I only sold them as I've had a big old downsize. Not too far from you iirc

I may be selling some equipment before going overseas next year. What's your budget and what qualities are you looking for in a speaker? I am in Notts too btw!

I remember when you sold them , they look so gorgeous with that walnut finish . I notice they have increased in sensivity by 1db since you sold them !!

Can't see why not Matt. I've just finished replacing all the floors downstairs in my gaff, so we've both been busy!

I'l have a look into these. Usher has been on my radar for a while, just always had concerns about the bass response in my room.

Hi Jake, long time mate! Hard to say without hearing them, and I must confess a preference for large cabs and 3 drivers lol. They do look mighty nice tho.

Yes, aren't they just. Never heard them either. These do look interesting, and Phil seems to rate them too.

Hi Geoff
I'm looking for scary dynamics, detail, drive and an ability to track a tune without being boring (ever). But, I don't want something so revealing that half of my music collection becomes unplayable.
Scale and effortless sound with no particular strength or weakness, in short, a good all rounder. Budget...Hard to say. It's not unknown for me to spend too much.:D What you got?

I'll check these out.

Too polite for me Mike. I'm still a rocker at heart. PMC are excellent, but not my cuppa.

Again, the Usher is on my radar but having never heard them and reading some reviews I'm slightly concerned about bass response. My current room being the issue, not the speakers. Long term plans are quite different.

Something important that I forgot to mention.

They must have grilles. Grandbaby needs all his fingers intact so best to remove the potential. And on that note, they need to be suitably heavy too.

You really should pop down and listen to my Ushers before you make a final decision.
Not to mention that Arnie would have a problem pulling/pushing them over, let alone your grandbabies.

yes the verity have grills . they are very transparent and paul coupe had them before me to demo his kit against . i only sold them as had to have an 84ft 7ft high fence done !!! they have real emotion and have the real benefit that you can have the bass woofer facing forwards in a small room and rear in a big room

and with grills https://youtu.be/uuouE8xpS3Y
