Excellent condition and working order.
A very highly rated pre. I just don't need a pre-amp any more! I go direct from DAC/pre to power amp or use my Wadia "all in 1".
RRP around £2,600.

I am the 2nd owner - it was originally bought in October 2016, so about 1 year old.

Remote control of volume.
If left unused for a while the remote function can require a little help to start with - just manually twiddle the volume knob to remind it!

Original box and packing material so this is safe to courier.

Internal shot.

Count those transformers!
-- and yes, this is very heavy for a preamp.

Of course, I would consider swapsies or px for item(s) of interest!

I had an L10 for a while and it deserves all the praise it gets, would love to own one again one day. Good price Jerry, GLWS!

Indeed - I had one of these too. Very hard to beat at Jerry's asking price.

Looks great. Is that an alps blue pot with a motor attached? What's the switch on the back for?

That is a motorised ALPS Blue. The wires off the motor appear to be going to the yellow board, which is for the remote control. You can see the thin cable off that board to the sensor mounted in the front panel to the left of the volume control.

Sounds like the sticky volume control could be fixed with a bit of grease before the motor takes the strain.

The switch at the back is for grounding to address any ground loop problems in the system "Earth" or "Isolate", the manual says.

OK, so £1.1k is not trivial wonga, but I'm a bit surprised that no-one fancies a swap deal for this excellent pre!

Bump. :)

I would love to try this but don't think I've anything to swap that you would be interested in.

OK - Loony Tune time :mental:

I'd be interested in swapping or px-ing this £1100 pre for some really fancy speaker cables.
2.5m pair minimum.

(Let's try and keep this sensible please !!! - e.g. offers of QED 79 strand will rapidly get a bit tiresome ;) )

Although 5km of 79 strand would be a fair deal IMHO

 There's always one.

Actually, after a few weeks 'off' the old L10 is as of this evening back in, partnered with my Pass X150 power amp, and is singing its little heart out.

What idiot put this FS ad up?

Swap or px for, well, anything hifi considered!Looks like a very good deal. I'll swap you for my Cayin for a bit but I'm pretty certain I'd want to unswap after a month or two, since I love it.

Have a think. You'd still have to sell it after we're done, after all.

I'm not happy to post the Cayin, though.

Forget it - you don't need a pre at the moment. Just read the thread in full. Der!!!

Come to think of it in practical terms, having Justin stuffed and hung on the wall does not appeal at all.
Imagine having to look at him all the time.
Ah, I know, I shall put him in a cupboard.

Ah, I know, I shall put him in a cupboard. [emoji106]You could just turn him into a casing for a 2w power amp, he'd like that [emoji23]

Decision made. Jerry to be permanently merged with his MBLs in a car crusher.

Some considerable compassion, respect and genuine sentiment shown there, I feel.
