Take the arm off and....

Chuck it in the bin......:eyebrows: (that is what you were going to say isn't it?)

Lol! It's actually pretty good, Mark, if using an MM cartridge - providing of course one likes MM cartridges... ;)

And why would you not if funds were tight Marco?????

Has anyone compared the Mk5 arm with the Mk2? is the extra cost justifiable?

Indeed, Dave. As you know, I own a few MMs (one of which sounds more fluid and 'airy' than any other MM I've heard) and very much enjoy what they do :)

However, for those who covet the particular brand of musical magic top-notch moving coils can produce, there *is* no substitute!

I thought that the pipe cleaner replaced the arm itself? ;)

No only joking, the stock arm really isn't that bad...

do you mean the whole turntables or just the arms?
As long as I know MK5 & MK2 share the same arm.
But, maybe, you mean the MG5, not the MK5...

I presume l remove the two bolts on the underside of the arm near the headshell connector, if l could use a screwdriver small enough l would not have to remove the tonearm, then pull the connector out?
