Like many of the members here, I started life on a analogue system when I was at University. Dual TT then Thorens and once I had some income I bought a Linn TT with an Ittok tonearm and Naim Nait II integrated amp. For about 25 years (!) I have not changed my system except changing my speakers. Being a busy family man, I have tended to use portable digital music. But I was never happy with this. But I have now discovered Hi Res music and recently purchased a LG V20 Smartphone with a Quad DAC. I have also just purchased a Sony WH-1000x M2 BT headphones. With Hi Res music, aptX-HD I really feel I am getting a lot out of my music again. I have just ordered a Sony NW-ZX300 DAP, which will also support LDAC.
I hope here I'll be able to share my digital journey with members here. This does not mean I won't use my Linn system. I need to get it serviced and perhaps upgrade the MC cartridge.
My music preferences - pop, rock and reggae. I find reggae sounds better on analogue! :lol:
