I see Amazon dont have any for sale and say they dont know if it will be available again(usually a sign it wont be). Amazon US is same. I find this odd and wonder what is going on. Still sell the stick though.
Are they bringing a new model that nobody has heard of (unlikely) or are they stopping making devices... I little worrying for users

I don't have a TV license, so don't watch live TV or Iplayer, however, Talktalk recently sent me a free YouView box, I connected it to the internet and by HDMI cable to a monitor, got a few rubbish on demand things, and lots of requests to pay for stuff, but didn't find how to get Youtube on it. I also found it very slow to select stuff, irritating.

The Amazon box and stick are good. Although best for Amazon stuff you do get other apps in it like netflix.
Ive a box and stick, but was just considering a box to replace my stick that ive lost the remote for.
Odd that all of amazon dont have them. Maybe just going to make the stick now. Fortunately i have apple tv too and a connection for netflix

Just another way of diluting the pool of platforms. Frankly Sky charge enough for what they offer, so the likes of Netflixs, Amazon etc can go whistle. They do have stuff I would like to watch, but I am not going to pay for it. I miss the days when Sky had everything and all the interesting shows, though there is still plenty to watch and it could be argued - easily - that I watch too much anyway.

Be terrible if we were all reliant on Murdoch ;) Sky has little of interest for me tbh and is pricey, but I do see its attraction. My son and Daughter need it. Amazon is enough for me and is fairly cheap as I get lot of other bits with it. I own a lot of videos on that platform which is perhaps foolish as if it goes then I will have nowt.

Question , why do you need a TV box , I just fitted a fire stick and unless I am missing something I get films and programs or is it a freeview thing as well

Dont really. Im using a stick downstairs. The box is faster by far, and this one looks to be on Echo lines so might be interesting

You could use the Remote App save you buying a new box.
