Hi everyone, I'm Deek from Scotland and felt obliged to introduce myself.

I've always been a big fan of music and prefer the rock/metal side of things but enjoy jazz (quite a recent interest) and some electronic. It all started with AC/DC and Queen and has been expanding ever since.

I've had an interest in hi-fi for quite some time too. I sold all my tapes (back in '94), sold my CDs in 2008 and decided to just keep the slabs of plastic that enjoy the most :)

Current setup is:

(old) Planar 3, AO rewired RB300, DV10x5
Moon LP5.3 rs
NAC 72, olive 72+HiCap and CB NAP 250
ProAc Studio 118

Cheers.

Welcome Deek. All you need to go with that is the surname 'Rivers' ;)

A very warm welcome to the fold.

You are not alone with your fondness for vinyl. It has a big following here.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My future plans are...

1. Upgrade my turntable. I will never get rid of the old P3 but I'd like some more meat on the bones, something with rock solid pitch stability and able to change speed at the push of a button (you can probably guess now why I'm here)

2. Always been a niggle at the back of my mind but I'd like to (think I'd like to?) change the 72/HC/250 for an integrated at some point. Fewer boxes, less humming, more space, speaker cable that you can bend, etc. I do have a soft spot for the vintage Naim kit so I'm not making any rash decisions here.

You want a button? ;)
