JOB ADVERT FOR A SMALL HI-FI SYSTEM
----------------------------------------

Wanted! A CD player, just for a bit of fun. We have a small NAD 3020 integrated in the dining room and I'd like to some of the old silver discs again. Ideally something a little fun and under £100 including postage. The CD player will be working alongside some Klotz MC5000 IC's and some sold speakers found in an attic. Do you have such a player in your collection?

Why not pick up an old DVD player from a charity shop, there are always some decent ones going very cheaply in my area and I find my old Panasonic plays cd's fine for casual listening.
p.s. what would a 'fun' player be/do?

p.p.s. My daughter has an old Sony mini-system unit that plays cd, mini-disc and tapes if you would be interested in that. It's a good little machine though has a few stress marks due to age. You wouldn't need an amp but there are no speakers or remote. I could ask her about it if it's any good to you and I will be in Harrogate from 14 Sep for a few days.

I've got an Arcam Alpha 6 CDP complete with spare mechanism - purchased by me in 1995 from Sevenoaks in Oxford - they were £600 at the time! - yours for £100 including postage - it is a really nice machine - pm for further info/pictures if of any interest. MH

Didn't get a reply to my Private Message of a week ago - did you find something or have you stopped looking?
