wonder what it will fetch !

The price seems a lot compared with what they used to fetch, but in absolute terms this is well worth the asking price, I reckon - as long as condition is good.

HiFi Dave and i were bemoaning the fact that ebay is now very expensive indeed for some things - and, to be honest, forum chatter about certain things that aren't too easy to come by hasn't helped the situation.

Just think, I bought my SC2, tuner (T2?) and STA25 from the original owner in 1976 or thereabouts and it cost me around £120 for the lot...... Back in those days, there wasn't anyone (not even our service dept) who was willing to replace the leaky supply caps and I found some Tungsram EL34's in a radio shop in my lunch break..

If Marco, Steve or ANYONE here can give this a decent and loving home, PLEASE buy it, as it was one of the first valve power amps of its time to genuinely push the boundaries forward...

Having owned an STA15 for years I'm a big fan. Most people would be amazed at what these amps can do - don't lump them in with Quads & Leaks - this is something else altogether.
