Integrated around £150?

anyway been casually thinking about getting a basic system for the dining room (soon to be a bar/games room - hannah's idea - she's ace sometimes)
anyway, I got a few pairs of speakers to play with and il work out some kinda streaming or iPod source.
So it's just a amp I'm after, been thinking about a nait 1 or 2 for a long time but can't really justify the ott money they go for. £150 is pretty much as much as I want to spend and was thinking I might find something vintage an pretty tasty for that kinda moolar. Hannah is trying to style the room slightly vintagy too so I guess it would fit better if it was vintage

have read a few bit on tweb about it, people seem to have a lot of praise for them with the only issue being a lack of power, that won't be a problem as it's a secondary system.

Don't touch that Cadet the output transformer are weak..Rogers A75/A100 yeh.

I am also looking for something similar just as a back up coukd be a power amp intergrated or reciever and does not need to much power as speakers 95db

Rogers A100 is tons better than the 75, which sounds muffled by comparison (the T100 tuner was good too).

Other used goodies are the A&R A60 and Creek 4040 or, better, 4140, the later series the better.

The cheapest new amps are around £200 although Cambridge do some good cheapies - hopefully some of the magic in their top models will have filtered down.

Cambridge Audio 340a is a cracking little amp ' i had one for a while , it sounded good with the Snell's .

But you could probably buy a great little classic amp (2nd hand) for the same money .

For that money I'd be looking at an original wooden-sleeve Sugden A21.A lovely little amp.At 7 watts class A,it's fine as long as your speakers are not a silly load.I used to drive my B&W P5's with one no problem.

'T75' is an analogue tuner that matches the 'A75'/'A100' fat bodywork styling, 'T100' slimmer digital tuner.

The old Cambridge around late early 80's are cool enough they go cheap like the 'P35'..Cambridge Audio used to badge em up for Acoustic Research aswell which are even cheaper.This 90's cambridge is nothing but tripe IMHO, why the hell people buy it is beyond me.

Hey Andre, the Rogers T10 had a digital display, but IIRC had a lovely sounding heart of analogue... The T75 never got reviewed as well as I remember..

The only things "wrong" with the current issue cambridge stuff is that they can't be made for the same quality or price in the UK, Apart from that, I reckon they're pretty good..

'T100' Did have digital display your right & was a slimmer unit than the 'T75'..I prefer the 'T75' tbh but the display was a lot to be desired.Saying that can't be as bad as the A&R Cambridge 'T21' display to read (Another stonking tuner i might ad)
