In theory, with the speakers having 90db sensitivity, 45 watts should be enough, but my understanding is that the NS-1000 likes a fair bit of wallop from amps. So maybe more power would be best.

(Oh, and the power of the CA-800 in Class A is pretty low, around six watts I believe, can't recall exactly)

There's a very nice Quad 909 power amp in Private Exhibitions. Now that should be superb with the Yammies.

well it may be a £50 bargain so what do you think then worth a punt, bearing in mind its got to compete with my sony 700es,if its a no-no id rather spend the money on records.

If it was me, for a pony, I would have a punt. They are supposed to be stonking in the class A mode.

For £50 I would grab it. If you are not grabbing it Jamie feel free to let me know where it is being sold. :) In Brighton?

They normally fetch a few hundred quid, so at £50 it has to be worth grabbing.

I'm already mentally preparing a day trip to Bighton if Jamie does not want it and the item is in Brighton. [emoji12]
