WTD: TT needed Basic Rega Planar 2, 3 or something for a Rega arm

Hi,

My son fancies taking my Queen albums (and a few others) to his own flat and needs a basic spinner that takes the 23mm Rega mount arm. Budget is not much (I will probably need to pay :doh:) and I already have a highly modified RB250 and a cartridge to fit.

What have you?

Not that strong. The finger lift breaks off at the slightest provocation. Get him a PL-12D. They take abuse and go on forever.

Where did you get that idea from ? I've been selling Rega since the mid 70s and never seen a broken finger lift..:scratch:

Some are, but most have just been broken off. The first RB300 I bought second hand was like it. Clearly snapped not cut.

I've had a dozen RB250's, and the finger lift was always Strong as an oxe.

I have a Rega Planar 2 that the previous owner has covered in green wood veneer. Quite nice and works well. It's got everything except the arm. Say £50 plus p&p.

Also got Rega Planar 3 in very presentable condition. Everything except the arm. Say £110 plus p&p.

Green Planar 2 up and running with my Moth 250. Sounds pretty good with a Pickering V15 installed.
