Happy birthday mate, :partytime: have a good one! :)
Cheers, guys. Much appreciated :)
As we're just back from a really nice holiday in Germany (also touring France, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg), it'll be a fairly quiet one. However, we're going out tonight for a meal in a nice Italian restaurant, so looking forward to that!

Pizza Mafiosa, ta.
More importantly, do they do Zabaglione for dessert? I absolutely adore this but it's getting increasingly difficult to find it on a menu. The last time I had it was in an Italian restaurant in Cologne, of all places. It was supposed to be shared between two but I ate the lot!

Happy birthday Marco and thanks for keeping aos the best hifi forum
Just back! :)
Pizza Mafiosa, ta.
Lol... I love (good) pizza, but I wouldn't go to a proper Italian restaurant like that and order pizza. No, I had a starter portion of home-made ravioli, stuffed with ricotta, and served with salmon and spinach, then lamb with a red wine and shallot sauce - it was yummy (as were the accompanying wines)!

Unfortunately not. I had the Affogato, which was superb, followed by an espresso.
But yes, I'll join you in the Zabaglione club, which is also one of my favourite desserts. Del makes a superb home-made one, which she can knock-up pretty quickly, as we always have eggs, sugar and Marsala wine at home. It's something that can only be made fresh.
If you visit, I'll ask her to make you some!

Marco's thighs must be bulging!!

Not at all, my chunky-chap. I do plenty of exercise every day (power walk for 6/7 miles and cycle), so working off those calories isn't a problem :)
Look to your own unhealthy junk-food diet first, daftee, before concerning yourself with me! :ner:

I'm getting into the car now! :)
I do have a recipe for Zabaglione, and do keep threatening to make it - any Marsala wine recomendations? I'm guessing that, as with everything, there's good, bad and magnificent?

Hi Adam,
The best I've found is Cantine Pellegrino Marsala Superiore (the sweet one), which is what we use. Most good supermarkets stock it :)
Marco.

Nah, soz. Not the same thing at all :nono:
Marsala wine has a unique flavour, which cannot be replicated with other forms of alcohol.
