Interestingly it has done me a favour in attending and accepting comments from knowledgeable individuals.
I have re-visited the circuit design of my KIN preamp and improved its performance to a very high level.

Well, I do seem to remember reading Mr NVA saying that one of the merits of a bake off would be to encourage such a response. It wasn't a question of winning or losing; it was the process.

I use the word 'room' in a symbolic/metaphorical sense, much as when I use the word 'thread' in a forum context. But if you'd prefer another word to 'room', fill yer boots, knock yerself out, etc etc. (Don't literally fill your boots or knock yourself out, though).

Yes of course, 'off-topic' in terms of discussions not about hi-fi. However in this instance, I'm referring to posts made NOT belonging to the thread topic ('About as much use as'), started by the OP, and which arguments deriving from fallouts from a phono stage bake-off, come under.
And incidentally, it wasn't me who raised the subject of the now 'infamous' phono stage bake-off, on this thread, it was Petrat (Peter), here:

Alas, I cannot reply, as this is a strictly on-topic thread. (It is not a real thread, of course). So, I will add in the spirit of the thread:

Just to address this post by Jez, and make a couple of important points, before returning to the discussion in hand...

That's essentially the policy, however I should make it crystal clear that we have no issues whatsoever with any NVA user (whether they're a member of said forum or not) who behaves properly and respects the AoS ethos, doesn't involve themselves in forum politics and that which doesn't (or shouldn't) concern them, respects who makes the rules here, and crucially, doesn't diss/slag-off AoS, or any member of AoS or admin, on another forum, especially the banned one you're referring to.
In effect, any NVA user who's normal and doesn't have a trolling agenda is very welcome here :)
Unfortunately, we had to ban PalsHuffMor, for trolling, as he was also 'savvypaul', a known AoS detractor, from said banned forum, and clearly, whilst trying to act as normal as he could, had an issue against AoS and me, and how the forum was run. This became patently obvious in his last few posts earlier on this thread, together with him being a sympathiser of the owner of NVA, and his perpetual vilification/badmouthing of AoS and me.
The true colours of HFS members, joining here 'in disguise', ultimately to cause trouble and be a PITA, always shine through in the end, and when they do, the inevitable result occurs! Therefore, to all other trolling HFS members, whom the above applies to, but as yet haven't been caught, understand that when you are eventually, you'll also be banned.
You CANNOT realistically expect to be welcome here, whilst simultaneously slagging off the place elsewhere! Anyone who thinks otherwise is living in cloud-cuckoo land.
Furthermore, to everyone, I shall reiterate: anyone caught badmouthing members of AoS or admin, or anything to do with AoS, on another forum, WILL NOT BE WELCOME HERE, and if discovered here, will be permanently banned.
That's not quite the same as what PaisHuffMor, posting as savvypaul, has stated, on HFS, after having being banned precisely for the above:
The life expectancy of an NVA owner and HFS member posting on AOS (and not prepared to ignore hypocrisy and abuse)…is about the same as it was for an SOE wireless operator in Nazi occupied France...
Nope, as I've already said, all normal, agenda-free NVA users (and members of HFS, who don't slag off AoS, or any members of AoS, on HFS) are very welcome here. In short, nice folks who simply want to chat about hi-fi, music and other permitted topics, respect admin decisions, and not be irritants.
Otherwise, you're not wanted or welcome here, as quite simply, life's too short to share it with folk who resent and dislike you (and when that feeling is mutual). I only want to be surrounded here by friends.
For the very definition of "hypocrisy and abuse", see your favourite forum, and in particular the mentalist behaviour of its creator.
