Hi all,
Well it seems like ages now since we started work on our new showrooms, as many of you will know the Naim Room has been finished for some time but the ‘Highend Room’ has been sitting in a state of flux whilst waiting for all the room treatment to arrive from Artnovion, basically as the treatment is not what I would call cheap I decided to treat the Naim room first to see how effective it was and make a decision from there, needless to say it totally transformed the Naim room and made the ‘Highend Room’ unusable as there was just so much echo, I like a live sound but this was just way too much, like listening in a cave.
So the good news is that the Artnovion treatment is now wth us for the the ‘Highend Room’ and it is being fitted by Colin as we speak, you really have to think fitting this kind of thing through, something I would be rubbish at but he is doing a stirling job, we have gone for a different design for this room but all being well the 2 rooms should sound very similar so the idea is that if required we can demo a top end Naim system against something from the likes of dCS or Audio Research in the 2 different rooms and just move the customer rather than the kit, well that is the idea.
I am hoping to do a launch event at some point in September for the ‘Highend Room’ so please keep an eye out.
