In good working order at a reasonable price. Do you have one that you don't use and want to sell? :)

Or similar with headphone and phono stage facility.
I was going to suggest an 8000Q as it was so much better in transparency and 'musicality' too, but it ain't going to do what you want it to, is it?
If it's to be a 'C.' please try to get a black cased one if possible, as they did get better as they went along I remember.

Have you looked at the Chinese offerings? There's a 'Little Bear' valve unit that might do the job for peanuts: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Little-bear-P2-1-GOLD-HiFi-Vacuum-valve-tube-headphone-amplifier-amp-preamp-uk-/112516450542?epid=1375341204&hash=item1a3280c8ee:g:N5gAAOSweW5VZfG4
It runs a set of headphones and pre output to power amp is via 3.5mm jack socket. Leads to two phono plugs are easily available.

I'm sure I've seen a little headphone amp with phono stage for sale on one of the forums recently, I remember thinking how unusual it was.

Yes that was it
I'll be selling an 8100C shortly, if that's of any use?

Does it have a phono stage and headphone amp? I can't find any info.

Right now, I couldn't say. It's part of my father's old set-up that I need to get photographed, advertised and sold. All I've got atm is a list of the various components and - as you say - there's no info on this online anywhere that I could find. I'm hoping to get it all detailed and the ads created this coming week.

It's black, IIRC.

I thought I was!
I'm heading back there this week. I did a quick list at the time*, but there have been all sorts of other stuff to get sorted, so selling his old hifi has taken a bit of a backseat.
[edit]
* it's my dad's old kit. He died a few weeks ago. I need to sell it all, but there have been other things to get sorted. Doesn't help that it's 300 miles away!
It's an 8000C, and I'm an idiot.
