In my first post I was asked to let everyone know about myself. My name is Mike. I live in the USA in Phoenix, Arizona and the beautiful Sonoran desert and if you don't know home to The Grand Canyon (never tire of a trip there).
I have loved music and audio equipment for more than 40 years. Generally speaking I think I have made good choices of modestly priced equipment. The most expensive pieces I have owned was a MacIntosh 6100 Integrated Amp and a set of B&W 703 speakers. I have traveled a trail of a lot of equipment with brands like Paradigm, Focal, Rotel, NAD and now Cambridge Audio strewn throughout my history.
My system now is the simplest and possibly most enjoyable system I have ever had. After 15 years of mixing home theater with audio I am focused on two channel audio.
My music tastes are based in the classics of rock & roll having grown up during, what did we call it here, oh yes the "British Invasion" but have expanded outwards to take in jazz and blues, some classical, some country and even at my age discovering new things I enjoy like Nitin Sawhney and Faithless.
I like the various forums that are available for the insight and information provided by other members. You can learn an awful lot and gain valuable insight before making decisions.
