Look at the moon NOW! look left and up a little, Mars can be clearly seen about the the width of a fist away. You may never see it again!

We must have a different moon in Suffolk - the sky is clear as a bell, the moon really bright, but I can't see Mars...

Yes, the cold atmosphere tonight is perfect for the sight. ;)
I even tried my (small) telescope with my son to see it even better ! :)
I've just been out to have a look.
Lovely bright moon and a very bright red 'star' (although its larger than a star). Nothing else in the sky here. Wonderful.
If anyone wants to try to photograph it they need a 100mm lens (35mm equivalent) and do some trial exposures (10sec + ?).

Hi Guys
Dalek technology is marvelous...very clear in the sky just to the left of the moon. Need to keep an eye out for those pesky ICE WARRIORS.
Thanks Steve I am going to try taking a photo.

The last one is the best Neil. I thought mars looked bigger here...
As I watched, a huge mass of luminous gas erupted from Mars
and sped towards Earth. Across two hundred million miles of void, invisibly hurtling
towards us, came the first of the missiles that were to bring so much calamity to Earth.
As I watched, there was another jet of gas. It was another missile, starting on its way.

Indeed she was. I have the Space 1999 Season 1 and 2 box sets, and UFO. Childhood memories, that mostly still look great today imho, with good to great stories.
She also looks very nice in On her Majesty's Secret Service...but Diana Rigg beats her, in this film imvho.
