Well this year we got the weather perfect for our 2 week holiday in Weymouth
We only had one day of rain and the rest was sunny and warm so my tan is looking pretty good now :D

Brian we went by Toyota Amazon/caravan... I know a lot of people hate the idea of caravans but we just love the freedom it gives us.. the thought of staying in a b&b or hotel doesn't appeal to us at all
For many years we have been to Weymouth in one of our larger 'sailing vessels' but having to give up large boats, due to Colins illness and lack of strength, we find the van so much easier... not as exciting, of course, but nice all the same :)

Really glad you had a great break Bev and Colin. We are planning to make much more use out of our motorhome. Have really enjoyed the short breaks we have had so far :D

+1 Are you sure the "Nice and Brown" is not due to beach tar? :D
(Have to confess I'm with Clarkson regarding caravans .... :sofa:)

And this is me (please excuse the scruffy hair!) with a little 14 month old that befriended us, Oscar :)

And another one of little Oscar around our awning, he was such a cutie..

Yes Geoff the weather was fantastic apart from one day of rain
Oscar was so cute... I've got some pics somewhere when he crawled into the van... :)
I found Oscar just fascinating and it was amazing to see his walking improve in just the 2 weeks
Maybe I should have had children after all....

You are probably right Geoff...
As I have always been very active, what with flying and sailing etc, there really wasn't the time or money for children.. and it's definitely too late now
My niece has one on the way, and Colin's nephew also, so I will be able to 'top up' on children very soon.. and I can hand them back

Yes Phil we love Weymouth and have been visiting it every year for about the last 30 years either by sailing boat/tent/motorhome/caravan
A couple of years ago we took the ferry from Weymouth to Guernsey which was lovely but unfortunately it no longer runs
